This Privacy Policy outlines how WeBook handles, processes, and protects your information when you use our Chrome Extension and landing website.
WeBook collects and transmits specific metadata from bookmarks you save. This data is processed strictly to categorize and automatically sort your saved pages:

All bookmark classification requests are transmitted securely using industry-standard HTTPS encryption to our private proxy server. The server ephemerally relays requests to AI classification APIs (powered by Google Gemini via OpenRouter) to evaluate categorization.
To avoid repeating AI requests, we keep the AI's folder suggestion for a page, saved against a one-way hash of its address rather than the address itself, along with website domain names and their usual folder. This data is shared between users and does not identify you.
We count AI use per account or network address to enforce daily limits. These counters use one-way hashes and are deleted after about two days.
If you use WeBook Cloud, your bookmarks and tab groups are stored in your account until you delete them.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your metadata to any third parties for advertising, marketing, profiling, lending, or creditworthiness determinations.
By installing and using WeBook, you consent to our automated categorization. If you wish to suspend automatic organization, you can disable the Auto-Organize toggle at any time in the Settings tab of the extension.
WeBook is distributed and updated exclusively via the official Google Chrome Web Store. We do not distribute manual ZIP files, side-loading packages, or use untrusted third-party hosts. Auto-updates are governed and delivered directly by Google's secure Web Store distribution systems.
